Turkish Airlines Damaged My Baggage and There Were Missing Items In It
On 11.07.2023, during my Istanbul-Ankara flight with Turkish Airlines, the plane was delayed and arrived 2 hours late. After a long wait, I realized my baggage did not arrive. A claim was filed for my baggage, and I was told it would be delivered to my home once found. The baggage was delivered to my home about 3-4 days later, but it was damaged. Additionally, my electronic cigarette and Zippo lighter refill fuel were missing. I filed a claim with reference number 2023143239 and provided all necessary information on the Turkish Airlines website. However, I consistently received negative responses without any explanation. Today is 16-December-2023, and the issue remains unresolved. I keep calling customer service, but they only file new claims, and the email responses lack any explanation. This prolongs my inconvenience. I want this issue resolved as soon as possible. Additionally, 3 days before this flight, on 8-July-2023, I flew from Tanzania to Istanbul, and these items were not taken from my baggage. Customer service confirmed that these are not prohibited items. I was told to handle the issue at the baggage damage and loss section at the airport, but they seem unaware that my baggage was delivered to my home 4 days later as it was a lost baggage case. I want this issue resolved promptly.
