Turkish Airlines Compensation Issue for Missed Flight
On 28.06.2023, I purchased a ticket for the Istanbul-Antalya flight from Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Despite having a boarding pass and a screenshot of my ticket, I was informed during baggage check-in that the flight was from Istanbul Airport, and I was not allowed to board. I contacted customer service to resolve the issue by providing a ticket for the next day or the next available flight. They mentioned they could assist with a refund. Today marks the 33rd day after the flight, and due to Turkish Airlines, I had extra expenses in Istanbul for accommodation, transportation, and food. I have not received any response to my feedback form with code TK-8873557. Since the flight day, I have made at least 15 calls. Each time, I was told that my request was being processed and that I would be contacted soon. I could only take my Antalya flight 22 days later for my exam. I will seek my legal rights through consumer arbitration boards and channels like CIMER due to the financial and emotional damages caused during this period. I am demanding my compensation. I am filing a complaint against such an established company for the inappropriate policies they conduct over their customers.
