Turkish Airlines Changed the Flight Gate and Provided Lack of Information
Hello. On July 20, 2023, we arrived at the airport in the morning for our flight from Istanbul to Sivas, having completed the check-in process a day earlier. Upon arrival, we were informed that the flight was delayed by 15 minutes and that we needed to proceed to Gate 9A. Since we had about an hour before the flight, we sat in a place where we could see the gate. As the departure time approached, the gate opened, and people began to board. We continued to sit, assuming there was still a queue. When we finally got up to join the line, we discovered that our flight had been moved to Gate 11B or possibly 11C, and the gates were already closed. There were no staff members at the gate to assist us. During the waiting period, no announcements were made regarding the gate change, and no final call for the Sivas flight was made. As a result, we missed our flight, and our tickets were forfeited. We kindly request a refund for our tickets and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
