Turkish Airlines Cancelled My Flight and They Didn't Process the Refund

On 11.02.2024, my colleague and I experienced a significant inconvenience with our flight, reservation code WPG33J, scheduled for 17:15. After all passengers were kept waiting inside the plane for an hour, the flight was canceled. Upon discussing with the THY team, we were informed that there was a technical issue with the landing gear and that nothing could be done.
We were left to fend for ourselves and were instructed to either wait another hour at the ticket counter for a refund or contact customer service by phone, with the promise of receiving a refund within 14 business days. Hoping to avoid further delays, we decided to rent a car with three other passengers at our own expense and continue our journey.
As if these inconveniences weren't enough, as of today, 06.04.2024, we still haven't received our refunds. When contacting customer service, they only mentioned that they could mark our case as urgent but couldn't process any refunds. Due to this irresponsibility and the violation of passenger rights, we have decided not to choose THY again and will opt for other airlines or company vehicles for our future travels. We will also be submitting our complaint through CIMER. If a resolution is not found, we will pursue our rights through legal means.
