Turkish Airlines-Anadolu Jet Canceled My Flight and Didn't Compensate the Full Fare of Taxi

Hello, on January 4, 2024, our THY Anadolu Jet flight from Erzincan to Ankara, scheduled to depart at 05:45, was canceled due to weather conditions. The nearest alternative flight offered to us was a 10:25 flight from Erzurum Airport on the same date. Despite repeatedly asking the officials at Erzincan Airport, neither I nor my three friends were informed about the means of transportation to Erzurum if we chose the Erzurum flight. We were only told that we needed to reach Erzurum Airport on our own and that the expenses could be invoiced to THY for reimbursement. Due to one of our friends being seriously ill and the early hour, we agreed with a taxi driver at the airport entrance to take us to Erzurum Airport for ₺3500. After arriving at the airport, we each received an invoice for ₺875 and asked THY officials at Erzurum Airport whether we should have used another means of transportation and if our reimbursement would be partial because we used a taxi. The THY officials confirmed that there was no issue with using a taxi and that we could invoice our journey. However, in our first application through the THY Feedback Form, only ₺300 of our ₺875 invoice was reimbursed with the explanation, 'A refund check has been issued for a reasonable transportation fee.' After this response, in a call with THY Customer Service, it was unclear how the 'reasonable fee' was determined. We were advised to fill out another Feedback Form to request the remaining amount. In our second application, our request was again denied, and we were informed that the remaining amount could not be reimbursed since a ₺300 check had already been issued. Additionally, we learned about our flight cancellation not through SMS or a call but from friends we encountered at the airport. Considering this information, we believe that the lack of complete information about the refund procedures and the partial reimbursement under the term 'reasonable fee' has caused us significant inconvenience, and we think this issue should be resolved.
