Turkish Airlines Lost Ticket Issue - Where is My Ticket?
Where is my THY ticket? In July 2023, I purchased a Erzurum-Istanbul flight ticket. I fell ill, was hospitalized, and underwent surgery. While I was in the hospital, I called the customer service 48 hours in advance to explain my situation. The representative I spoke to told me that they would sell my ticket and keep it open for future use. We agreed on this, and they sold my ticket. After being discharged from the hospital, I sent my medical reports. They informed me that I could use my open ticket whenever I wanted.
On April 17, 2024, before purchasing my Erzurum-Istanbul ticket, I called customer service. They said they would get back to me within 48 hours and mentioned that the ticket price was ₺1500, and there could be a price change after 48 hours. They assured me that the price increase would not affect me. However, 48 hours later, they told me there was no open ticket available. I ended up buying the ticket for ₺2500 instead of ₺1500. Despite sending all the required documents to THY, I lost my ticket and an additional ₺1000. Is this how much THY values a student?
