On April 13, 2024, I was not allowed to board the Turkish Airlines flight departing from Kayseri Airport to Istanbul Airport at 10:55 AM, as they stated that the doors had closed at 10:10 AM. Despite arriving 25 minutes earlier, I was not allowed to board. Along with a few other passengers, we were left stranded without any solution, and I was told that my ticket was forfeited and that they would have let me board if I had arrived one minute earlier. Although one of the staff mentioned that I had no luggage and suggested trying to let me board, the lady processing the check-in replied that the doors were closed and they couldn't let me in. Where have you ever seen doors closing 45 minutes before departure? We haven't encountered such situations even at Istanbul Airport. When I asked if there were any tickets from Nevşehir or Adana to Istanbul, they checked in five seconds and said no. Immediately afterward, I found a last ticket from Nevşehir Airport to Istanbul on the Obilet website, Turkish Airlines flight TK 2057 at 1:40 PM, costing 2,590.87 TL, and went to Nevşehir. I left without any solution and feeling victimized. When I arrived at Nevşehir Airport, I explained my situation to the Turkish Airlines staff, mentioning that I was not allowed to board the plane 45 minutes before departure, and they were surprised, saying they could have let me board and questioning why the doors were closed so early. When my procedures were completed and I boarded the plane, passengers were allowed to board until the last 15 minutes before departure. Why does Turkish Airlines at Kayseri Airport close the doors 45 minutes before departure, causing us to be victimized, while at Nevşehir Airport, Turkish Airlines allows passengers to board until the last 15 minutes? You are causing financial loss and putting people in difficult situations. I want to state here that I will initiate legal proceedings as soon as possible.
