I purchased a Turkish Airlines ticket for a flight from Serbia to Istanbul. We arrived early at Nikola Tesla Airport for our tax-free procedures. When the Turkish Airlines check-in opened, we went to areas 208 and 212. We waited for about two hours, but no one showed up. Since our luggage was large, we couldn't pass through the second gate, and thus couldn't get our tax-free refund. We also couldn't move anywhere with our luggage. We had experienced this before in Egypt as well. The check-in was delayed by 2 hours and the flight departed late. Due to the behavior of Turkish Airlines staff abroad, I no longer feel inclined to choose this airline.
Lastly, my luggage arrived open. While checking to see if anything was missing, I couldn't take a photo. When I handed over the luggage, it was fully closed, and I had taken a photo in case of any damage. I can't even count how many disappointments I've had with Turkish Airlines recently.
