Thrifty Car Rental Orlando Booking Mishap Leads To Unfair Charges

I booked a reservation for a budget-friendly car from the Orlando location of Thrifty Car Rental through their website for March 26th. However, upon my arrival to collect the car, they informed me that they did not have any economy models in stock and strongly recommended an electric car as an alternative. Given my lack of experience, I declined the offer to drive. Due to their persistent insistence, I ended up wasting 30 minutes of my time, so I decided to cancel the reservation. They promised me there would be no charges, but I was surprised to discover a deduction of $294 from my card three days later. Upon reaching out to customer service, they informed me about a fee for canceling. This is complete gibberish. I had to cancel the reservation due to an error on your part. You failed to provide the car I had specifically reserved. As a result, I kindly request a refund for the amount that was charged.
