On April 22, 2024, I placed an order with Tesla. When ordering, it was stated that delivery would be in June-July. However, upon inquiry, I was informed that the vehicle would only be delivered in August.
Furthermore, it was stated that the motor power of the vehicle is 159 kW; however, I later found out that Tesla has not yet offered such a motor option. Even if it were offered, it was communicated that this could only be possible through a software update. This situation may also imply an error in Tesla's calculation of the special consumption tax (SCT).
In addition, on April 22, the SCT rate set for this vehicle was 60%, and there was a price increase. Due to the possibility of a price increase and my 14-day right of withdrawal, I wanted to cancel the order. However, despite sending the email containing my cancellation request, I received no response for 2 days. During a phone call last week, I learned that the ₺50,000 deposit would not be refunded.
The contract sent to me contains the following statements: 'order fee. In order for the Vehicle to be reserved for you, you are expected to pay a non-refundable order fee in the amount specified in your Vehicle configuration on the date you sign this Agreement. Payment of the order fee may be made by credit card. You also acknowledge that the order fee you have paid constitutes a fair and reasonable calculation of the actual costs that will be incurred in processing, transporting, remarketing and/or reselling the Vehicle. Therefore, except as specifically provided herein, in the event that the final sale does not occur for any reason, the order fee will not be refunded.' I did not sign this contract. Moreover, the vehicle has not yet been transported or remarketed. Even dealerships act more fairly, justly, and in accordance with the law. I fear that if something were to happen to the vehicle tomorrow, they would not stand behind it.
