Tesla Model Y Price Hike and Refund Denial


On April 19, 2024, I made a payment of ₺50,000 using my credit card to order a Tesla Model Y on the tesla.com website. The order number is RN121512491. When I ordered the Tesla Model Y, it was priced at ₺1,791,451. However, on April 22, 2024, I noticed that the price had skyrocketed to ₺2,605,747 on the company's website. Despite the company's explanation of a systemic error, I had no choice but to cancel my order on May 2, 2024 due to the unexpected price change, which left me feeling unsettled.
On May 2, 2024, I sent an email to t****@tesla.com, stating that I wanted to cancel my purchase within 14 days as allowed by the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. I also asked for a refund of the ₺50,000 that was charged to my credit card.
However, the email received from t****@tesla.com stated that even though the order was cancelled, the amount mentioned would not be refunded. I want to highlight that the clause in the contract, which states that the order amount will not be refunded, is unjust according to unfair contract terms.
Because of the unfair benefit or undeserved profit and the lack of customer satisfaction, I am requesting a refund of the ₺50,000 that was charged to me.
