Unable to Get Refund for Tesla Model Y SR Pre-Order Deposit
On December 8, 2024, I placed a pre-order for a Tesla Model Y SR, paying ₺50,000 as a deposit. After speaking with Tesla's call center, I was informed that if I completed the full payment by the end of December, they would lock in the current price. However, upon reviewing my finances, I realized the next day that I couldn’t proceed with the full payment and decided to cancel my order.
Less than 24 hours had passed since placing the order, and no VIN or other details had been assigned. I emailed Tesla requesting a cancellation and a refund of my deposit. To my disappointment, Tesla refused to process the refund, citing their policies. I even followed up with their customer service by phone, but they were unwilling to help.
This lack of flexibility and customer support is unacceptable. Keeping my ₺50,000 for a single day’s pre-order without delivering anything is unreasonable. Tesla’s refusal to assist has completely deterred me from purchasing a Tesla in the future. I demand a full refund of my deposit immediately.
