Siemens Cordless Vacuum Failed After 10 Minutes – Refund Request

I purchased a Siemens VSM120HYG cordless vacuum cleaner for 21,000 TRY on 26.08.2026 from the Evdüz Siemens dealership located in Taurus Shopping Mall. From the very first use, the product proved to be defective. Within the first 10 minutes, the device overheated, stopped charging and started shutting down automatically, even though it was brand new and correctly assembled. Within 24 hours of delivery, I requested a return and a refund, but Siemens Headquarters, the dealer and the authorized service center kept directing me to each other instead of taking responsibility, so the process did not move forward at all. The authorized service center gave contradictory statements, first saying they were closed on Sunday, then later claiming that the device had been in testing since Sunday, and finally dismissing the situation by saying there was no problem. The dealership representative also responded in a mocking manner with the remark, “If you step on the gas, the car burns more fuel,” instead of offering a solution. I have previously experienced similar indifference with Siemens water dispenser and coffee machine products, and once again I have been left victimized with this brand-new device. I categorically refuse any repair for a product that showed such clear defects within minutes of first use. I have officially recorded on the service report that I do not accept the so-called test results and I am keeping the vacuum cleaner unused in its original packaging. Invoking my right of withdrawal under Article 11 of Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, I demand the immediate and full refund of 21,000 TRY without any deduction. If this refund is not promptly processed, I will pursue all legal avenues, including filing a petition with the Consumer Arbitration Board, initiating legal claims for my damages and publicly sharing this experience on all relevant social media platforms.
