Sunexpress Damaged My Luggage – Received Only €25 for €160 Replacement




On September 22, 2024, my spouse flew from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Munich. Upon landing, she found our suitcase completely broken—torn open and shattered. I immediately called customer service, explaining that she was alone at the airport and the suitcase was unusable, neither closing nor in a condition to be carried. The representative told me to file a report and that the damages would be compensated.
Since she couldn’t carry the damaged suitcase, she was forced to buy a new one for €160 at the airport. We sent the receipt and photos to Sunexpress, but they only reimbursed us €25 for the suitcase! As frequent international travelers, we will no longer be choosing Sunexpress after this experience. I demand full reimbursement for the new suitcase, not just a fraction of the cost. Please resolve this issue immediately.
