On May 18, I bought a Sicily sandwich menu from the Subway Mall of İstanbul branch, and what I experienced was beyond unacceptable. As I started eating, I noticed a live bug crawling out from inside the sandwich bread. Yes—a living insect was literally baked into my food. I was completely disgusted and shocked.
To be fair, the staff at the location replaced my order and were polite about it, but let’s be honest—this isn’t just about replacing a sandwich. This is a serious health hazard, and it raises huge concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness standards being followed at this branch.
Subway, you need to take this incident seriously. I demand that a full inspection and proper health and safety audit be carried out at this location immediately. No one should have to worry about finding bugs in their food, especially when paying good money—₺250 or more—for a sandwich meal. I’m sharing this not only to get your attention, but to warn other customers to be cautious. Clean up your kitchens and take real action now.
