I Did Not Subscribe but Spotify Keeps Charging My Card
I recently discovered that money has been regularly withdrawn from my account under the name Spotify without my knowledge or consent. Previously, around $31 was taken without authorization from my old payroll card, which forced me to cancel that card and request a new one. Despite this, unauthorized charges have continued—last month, about $3 was withdrawn from my new Akbank payroll card, and today another $3 was charged again without my permission.
I noticed these transactions while reviewing my bank account activity. I have never signed up for any subscription or given consent for such payments. I have no idea how or when this membership was created. When I contacted Akbank customer service today, they told me they could not assist and that I needed to contact YDS Spotify. However, when I reached out to YDS Spotify, I was only told, “We will get back to you,” without any concrete resolution.
I demand that all unauthorized charges made without my knowledge be urgently refunded to my account in full, that any subscription created in my name be immediately canceled, and that no further charges be made to my card under any circumstances.
