Smallpdf Billed Me Without Warning During Free Trial

I started using the Smallpdf app during the free trial period. I assumed I would be able to use the trial without being charged, but on December 6, 2025, at around 4:00 p.m., I saw in my transaction history that $17 had been withdrawn from my Ziraat Bank card without my knowledge or consent.

When this charge was made, I did not receive any verification code, notification, or clear warning. The trial period was still active, and I had never approved a paid subscription, so I do not accept that money was taken from my card in this way. I canceled my membership the same day—December 6, 2025—to prevent any further charges.

I also reported the issue to Ziraat Bank, and they said they would investigate the matter. However, I believe the main responsible party is Smallpdf. I find it unacceptable that a charge was made to my card without my permission or explicit approval—especially while the free trial was still ongoing—and I consider this a clear case of consumer harm.

I request that the $17 withdrawn from my account be refunded to the same card as soon as possible. I also ask that my account and card information be completely removed from your systems to ensure that unauthorized charges do not happen again.
