I Face Unauthorized $108 Charge on Smallpdf Free Trial; No Refund Yet
On August 26, 2025, I entered my credit card for a 7-day free trial on Smallpdf.com after reading the clear promise that no charge would be made if I canceled before the trial ended. Despite that, while still within the trial window, Smallpdf billed my card (last four 7074) $108 (about ₺4,560). I canceled the same day and immediately reported the issue both via the website and email (emre.sepetci@*.com**). I also referenced case #RAA5822. To date, I have received no invoice, no explanation, and no refund.
This is an unauthorized auto-renewal charge taken before the trial expired—contrary to Smallpdf’s own terms. I did not consent to a paid annual plan and was not warned in advance. This practice feels misleading and violates the free-trial expectation users rely on.
I request an immediate full refund of $108, written confirmation that my subscription is fully canceled with no future charges, and a copy of the billing record for this transaction. Please resolve this promptly and ensure trial users are not charged before the trial ends and are notified clearly prior to any billing.
