Skechers Rejected My Claim on Poor Quality Shoes Despite Material Issues in Heel

I’ve purchased many pairs of Skechers over the years, but my recent purchase has been both a disappointment and a loss of trust in the brand. A few months ago, I sent the shoes in for review due to issues with the heel area, confident that Skechers would stand by their quality. To my shock, they rejected my claim, and it felt clear they hadn’t examined the shoes at all. Having worked as a Quality Coordinator, I understand these processes and expected they’d at least listen and consider the details provided. The problem is simple: while the shoe is practically like new, the inner heel area tore due to what I believe is poor material choice. They used hard plastic support inside with only a thin sponge and lining fabric over it, which inevitably leads to tearing under normal wear. Skechers replied that this was not a production error. It’s disappointing to think that a brand known for quality would brush this off, as this shoe tore due to poor material selection, not misuse. I’ve attached the pictures of the shoes, which clearly show the problem. I paid significantly more for Skechers compared to other brands, expecting durability and good customer support, but this experience has been the opposite. I’m now planning to have the shoes reviewed by an expert, notarize the report, and take this matter to court. I won’t be buying Skechers again and will share my experience widely. Anyone who sees these pictures would think twice before purchasing from this brand.

Here is the translation of the text from Turkish to English: Yes, the authorized person is calling and the question is; how often did you use it, did you exercise? Of course, I'm saying this as someone who has 32 pairs of shoes; I wore this shoe once a week, at most twice, because it takes time for it to match an appropriate outfit and for its turn to come... It already looks brand new. This shoe is not worn while exercising, every question is meaningless and when the answers made sense, they started saying I had it examined in detail again, etc. I mean, I already received the shoe back, did you examine it from the pictures, so you couldn't see it in person but will see it from a photo? The result came to this: the material we use is this, we are a low-quality brand, hiding behind the name we made earlier, we are sticking you with products made with low-quality materials at high prices! That's the summary! I have truly removed this brand from my list, and I will keep anyone I see in my social network and around me away from this brand. Their apologies are worse than their faults. I will literally throw away the shoes I wore 15-20 times because the material they put inside is as sharp as a razor and damages the foot. It's impossible to wear, and these shoes cost 4-5 thousand TL... People's money is a national asset, but if you do this, you become a brand that harms the national asset. I will protest you for the rest of my life.

Since I'm asking, what is a manufacturing defect? What are your tolerances? Is it a relative concept? Since you are selling it at a high price, you must be confident. The pull tab on the back of the shoe is sewn crooked compared to the other one! Now, isn't this a manufacturing defect? Whether it's 2 millimeters or 2 centimeters, I'm sending this back to you, so either fix it or refund my money!

The shoes are unwearable and cause irritation on the person's foot... It is definitely not user error, sir, I do not accept this and I no longer use this brand. In fact, I have prevented others from buying it. I will do my best, I have declared war on this brand.

They have made such a ridiculous design that they put a bone-like hard sharp plastic material inside, which naturally tore the thin fabric sponge on top and now it's cutting my foot. Such a ridiculous design cannot exist, and I am now cursing the brand that does not accept this.

This issue was not resolved, and since then I have not bought any shoes for my family from this brand. I have also warned everyone around me who wanted to buy from them and convinced them not to. Please, let’s boycott such irresponsible brands and refrain from shopping with them so that they will improve themselves.

It has been years since I bought any product from this bad and problematic brand, and I have blocked those who try to buy. Maybe I lost a little something, but I will not break my determined stance; I will block even more.
