I own a 2023 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline, and after taking my vehicle to Kartal Aykan Oto service last week, I started experiencing idling problems that did not exist before. The engine sometimes shows idle fluctuations, and the idle speed drops suddenly. This issue occurs both when the engine is cold and when it is warm, and it can also happen while driving in traffic.
The problem is not constant, but I experience it in roughly half of my drives, which naturally makes me uncomfortable, especially with a relatively new vehicle. After these issues began, I contacted Kartal Aykan Oto again and explained the situation in detail. However, I was told that this behavior is “normal.”
To better understand the situation, I requested a test drive with a similar vehicle they currently have for sale in order to compare. During the test drive, the vehicle they were selling did not show any idle fluctuation or sudden drop in idle speed. Despite this clear comparison, they continue to insist that the behavior of my vehicle is normal.
I request that my vehicle undergo a detailed technical inspection, that the root cause of the idle fluctuation and sudden idle drop be properly identified, and that all necessary actions—including repair or part replacement under warranty if required—be carried out. I expect my vehicle to operate smoothly and safely, as is reasonable for a new model, and I ask that this issue be resolved without further delay.
