I Face Shockingly High Honda Authorized Service Parts Pricing For My 2021 Civic
I own a 2021 Honda Civic Sedan and live in Denizli. After a traffic accident I had in Denizli in December 2025, I took my vehicle—at around 70,000 km at the time—to the Honda authorized service in Denizli. After their post-accident inspection, I was told the steering rack needs to be replaced, and I was asked to pay $11,476, which I find outrageously expensive. Because I did not consider this amount reasonable, I also contacted Honda Türkiye customer service. However, instead of taking my complaint seriously, I was told the dealer can set the price however it wants. I do not find it acceptable that an authorized service acts this way and that Honda Türkiye treats it as normal. For a brand like Honda to consider it “normal” for an authorized service to arbitrarily determine spare part prices—and to leave the customer facing such a massive cost—seriously damages trust. I request that Honda Türkiye thoroughly review this process, reduce the requested $11,476 steering rack price to a reasonable level, and audit the authorized service’s pricing policy.
