My Skechers Slip-Ins Tore Despite Proper Use, and Warranty Claim Was Denied

I purchased a pair of Skechers Slip-Ins and have been using them exactly as advertised—without bending down, hands-free. This is the main selling point of the model, and it’s why I specifically chose this design. However, as a result of regular use, a tear formed on the upper inner section where the foot naturally rubs against the shoe while putting it on.
Since the shoes are still under warranty, I submitted them for inspection at the Maltepe Piazza Skechers store. Yesterday, I received a disappointing response stating:
“Dear customer, based on the evaluation under request number 1-463203, no manufacturing defect was found in your product. We regret to inform you that your request has been denied.”
I find this decision completely unacceptable, especially given that the damage occurred precisely due to the promoted functionality of the Slip-Ins model. Denying my request contradicts the way the product is marketed and sold.
I am requesting an immediate re-evaluation of my claim. If the issue is not resolved fairly, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and stop purchasing from Skechers altogether—a brand we’ve consistently chosen as a family for all our sneakers.
