In April 2025, I purchased two pairs of Skechers GO Run Consistent shoes from the Viaport Venezia Skechers store and wore them alternately. By August, only 4 months later, the front stitching started to unravel and the heel lining tore on one of the pairs. I returned the shoes to the store for inspection, expecting them to be covered under warranty. However, my request was denied with the explanation that it was “user error.”
I strongly disagree with this conclusion. I have previously experienced similar stitching and lining problems with Puma, Nike, and Adidas, but in every case those brands accepted it as a manufacturing defect and replaced the shoes without hesitation. Skechers, on the other hand, refuses to take responsibility, which left me disappointed as a loyal customer.
Considering that these issues appeared within only 6 months of normal use, I believe this clearly indicates a quality defect rather than misuse. I also noticed on consumer forums that many other Skechers customers reported the same problem with this model, which further proves it is a recurring issue.
I request Skechers to re-evaluate my case, recognize it as a production fault, and replace my defective pair under warranty. I expect Skechers to stand behind its products and not leave consumers without support.
