I recently rented a car from Rent A Car Sixt, a Renault Clio with the license plate 34een453, from December 21st, 2022 to December 30th, 2022. I decided to extend the rental for an additional month. I returned the vehicle to the Istanbul Airport branch without any issues and the staff there received the car in an irresponsible manner. I received a message confirming that the car was received without any damage. However, three days later, I noticed that 2300 TL had been withdrawn from my credit card without my consent. I had previously paid a deposit of 750 TL and that was reset without my authorization. When I contacted the company, I was told that the withdrawal was for mileage overage, but there was no mileage overage. The staff who received the vehicle from me initially confirmed that there was no damage and no mileage overage, yet they withdrew money from my card without any notice. This is a very unprofessional behavior for a corporate company. I strongly condemn Rent A Car Sixt for their actions and I will be filing a complaint against the Istanbul Airport branch. I will not withdraw my complaint unless the fee is credited back to my card.
