Double Charge Issue for Traffic Penalty at Sixt Rent a Car, Istanbul Airport

I rented a vehicle from Sixt Rent a Car's Istanbul Airport branch between April 7 and April 12, 2024. On April 12, while returning the vehicle, I discovered that a traffic penalty had been issued, and the penalty amount was charged to my credit card. However, upon checking the government portal (e-Devlet), I noticed another penalty listed under the same vehicle's license plate.
I contacted a Sixt representative, Met* Yıl*, who stated, “We do not deduct penalties from credit cards.” This raises several concerning questions:
Am I being charged twice for the same penalty?
If this is a separate penalty, why was I not informed? I am now facing a delay fine due to lack of notification.
Was a penalty issued under my name for an offense committed by another driver at a different time?
This situation has caused significant confusion and frustration. I request urgent clarification and resolution from Sixt to avoid further unnecessary charges or fines.
