I Am Demanding a Refund After Shiseido Sunscreen Caused Severe Eczema
On May 9, 2026, I purchased a Shiseido brand sunscreen through Trendyol. When I used the product regularly for more than two consecutive days, I developed severe burning, redness, tightness, and eczema-like rashes on my skin. Although I normally do not experience such issues with my skin, I began suffering from sensitivity and discomfort following the use of this product that impacted my daily life.
Upon experiencing these issues, I requested a return, and the product was placed under an analysis review. However, my return was rejected, and I was told that the analysis concluded "there was no issue with the product." No explanation was provided regarding whether the analysis was actually conducted in a laboratory, or what methods were used, nor was a detailed report shared with me. The process was simply closed with a statement saying "analysis rejected." When I spoke with Trendyol customer service again today, I received the exact same answer.
I paid approximately $94 for this order (#11218906373), and considering both the health issues I suffered and the amount paid, I absolutely do not accept the rejection of my return based on such a vague and unsatisfactory explanation. While the burning, redness, tightness, and eczema complaints following product use are clearly evident, the analysis process was not explained transparently, and the result was conveyed to me in just a single sentence.
Taking into account the skin issues and hardship I experienced, I demand that my return request for this sunscreen be approved and that the full purchase price of $94 be refunded to me. Furthermore, I request a detailed, written explanation regarding the analysis process and demand that customers not be brushed off so easily when raising health-related complaints.
