Shell Gas Station Rude Staff Issue


On May 27, 2024, around 10 a.m., I stopped by the Shell station's market in Istanbul/Kadıköy Bostancı to refuel and do some shopping. I intended to buy two Starbucks coffees, two packs of Winston cigarettes, ₺600 worth of gasoline, and a car air freshener. As I approached the cashier, a lady named Z***** - as I learned from the gas station attendants - greeted me with a visibly displeased expression and proceeded to make unwarranted and disrespectful accusations. While waiting at the counter to purchase cigarettes, the air freshener, and fuel, I headed towards the fridge to grab the coffees. I informed her that I would be paying for the coffees with a different card. Upon returning with the coffees, she confronted me with a hostile attitude, questioning my intentions. She abruptly closed my transaction, serving customers behind me instead. After waiting for a while, I asked her why she acted this way. She began shouting, accusing me of using a different card and causing her inconvenience. I reminded her that it was her job. I didn't intend any disrespect; I simply meant that as the cashier, she should handle transactions like this. In response, she started yelling, throwing the cigarettes to her right, and turning to the customer behind me with a strange expression. I was deeply angered by Z*****'s incomprehensible behavior and demand appropriate action be taken against her.
