On April 30, I purchased a Segway Ninebot G2 Max scooter from Media Markt. While riding, the rear wheel rim suddenly broke. I immediately contacted Bilkom, the authorized service provider, expecting warranty support. Instead, they informed me that because the control unit is inside the rear wheel, water had supposedly entered the part, and therefore the issue would not be covered under warranty. They then demanded a ₺5,000 repair fee.
This explanation makes no sense, as the wheel itself physically broke while I was using the scooter normally on the road. I did not misuse the scooter, nor did I ride it in water. The service even mentioned a possible full replacement at first but then insisted on charging me for the repair, which feels like an unfair way to avoid responsibility.
I purchased this scooter with trust in the Segway brand and its durability, and I am very disappointed by the lack of proper warranty coverage and support. I request that my scooter be repaired or replaced under warranty without extra charges. I expect Segway and Bilkom to stand behind their product and resolve this matter fairly.
