Scribd Charged Me During My 30-Day Free Trial After I Canceled

I downloaded the Scribd app on my phone because I wanted to use the free trial. The app clearly stated that the first 30 days would be free and that I would then be billed $9 per month. Based on this information, I started the trial, but I later canceled my subscription to avoid being charged when the paid period began.

I started the subscription around May 20, so I should not have been charged until June. However, Scribd charged $9 to my İş Bankası debit card at 10:40 p.m. on May 22. My transaction history also shows an earlier $0 authorization, which was most likely related to the free trial. Despite canceling my subscription, the $9 charge was still taken from my card. I also did not use any of the service’s features.

The email address linked to my Apple account is y********@Gmail.com. I also submitted a refund request through Apple, but I have not received a resolution yet. Since I was still within the free trial period and canceled the subscription, I request that the $9 charge be refunded to my card as soon as possible.
