easyJet Canceled My Belfast to London Flight Without Proper Notice
Our easyJet U243 flight from Belfast to London Stansted, scheduled to depart at 8:10 PM and arrive at 9:25 PM on September 8, 2026, was canceled without any proper or clear notification. After the cancellation, we were stranded at the airport with our suitcases and belongings and were forced to incur additional expenses for accommodation, transportation, and meals.
Neither the airport nor easyJet provided timely and clear information about the flight cancellation. When we later contacted the relevant parties, we were told that an email had been sent and that we would receive a response within one or two days. However, despite these assurances, no one contacted us again. They also claimed that the PNR reference number provided to us, 11382625010862, did not match easyJet's records, apparently attempting to avoid responsibility. This left us caught between the parties, with no one taking responsibility for resolving our situation.
Our expenses for meals, transportation, and accommodation amounted to approximately £300. In addition, we had to purchase replacement tickets for two passengers because of the cancellation, bringing our total expenses, including the new flights, to approximately £500. We demand full compensation for the original flight cost and all necessary additional expenses, including accommodation, transportation, meals, and replacement tickets. The failure to provide proper information and the lack of any follow-up despite repeated assurances are unacceptable. We request that this matter be resolved urgently and that all amounts owed to us be fully reimbursed.
