On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, the Samsung 55TU8500 model 55" television, which I bought from teknosa on 06.03.2021, suddenly started to turn off and on by itself while watching TV. It sounds for 1-2 seconds and turns off again without any image. On Thursday, May 24, I called the Samsung 444 77 11 call center and created a service record. On May 25, the service came to my house and said that the panel of the TV should be changed and that it cost 9500 TL. Similar to hundreds of complaints reflected on the complaint var platform, panel failure occurred exactly 2 months and 17 days after the warranty period expired. It is obvious that this is a chronic problem. In accordance with the Law on Consumer Protection, the seller's liability for the sale of goods with hidden defects is two years as a rule, but if the hidden defect is hidden from the consumer during the sale and the statute of limitations has passed, the responsibility for this should not be imposed on the consumer. Although the warranty period is two years, the service life of the product is 10 years. As a consumer, we do not buy the product to use it for 2 years. The malfunction in question is in the panel, which is one of the main functions of the product, and such a high rate of occurrence is not a performance expected from the product and the brand. This should not be the price of buying a product by paying higher prices by trusting the SAMSUNG brand, especially when there are more affordable products in the market. This situation will greatly reduce the reliability of the brand in the eyes of the consumer. As a customer who loves and trusts the SAMSUNG brand, I demand that the problem be solved immediately and the panel replacement be provided free of charge in order to maintain confidence. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will take the matter to the judiciary with precedent court decisions.
