I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for years, but I’m incredibly disappointed with what has happened to my Galaxy S20+. Out of nowhere, the screen developed 14–15 vertical lines that cover the entire display, making the phone nearly unusable. After researching online, I discovered that many other users of this model experienced the same issue—most reporting that it began after a software update.
Samsung has been replacing screens for customers whose devices are still under warranty. Unfortunately, mine is just out of warranty, even though the phone has never been damaged or repaired before. I also noticed the back cover has come loose on its own—another issue that shouldn't happen to a premium device.
When I contacted Samsung’s authorized service center, they confirmed that the screen needs to be replaced, but the price quoted was outrageously high. These vertical lines are clearly not caused by user error. They appear to be a known defect tied to an update, yet I’m the one paying the price simply because my warranty expired.
Samsung, I’ve trusted your brand for years and don’t want to switch to another, but this experience is unacceptable. I’m asking you to take responsibility and replace the screen at no cost, just as you’ve done for other affected users. This issue is widespread and needs to be treated as a known manufacturing or software fault—not blamed on the customer. Please resolve this promptly.
