I Lost Netflix on My Samsung TV—No Updates Allowed for Models Before 2015

I’ve always trusted and enjoyed using my Samsung TV, which still works flawlessly in terms of picture and sound quality. But recently, I ran into a major issue that completely changed my opinion of the brand. I live in a four-story private home, and the Samsung TV on the fourth floor suddenly lost access to the Netflix app—it disappeared on its own, and I haven’t been able to reinstall it.
I called Samsung customer service for help, only to be told that my TV, purchased before 2015, no longer receives software updates and that certain apps like Netflix have been permanently removed. No warning, no notification—just gone.
How can a global company like Samsung remove app functionality from a working device without informing users? I wasn’t even asking for a new feature—just to keep using the streaming service I’ve always had. The TV is in perfect working condition otherwise, yet I can’t enjoy basic smart functions because of forced obsolescence.
