I have been using my Samsung RB50RS334WW refrigerator for about three years, and for the past three days it has completely stopped cooling. To resolve the issue, I contacted Samsung’s authorized service. After inspection, they told me that the control board had burned out and that the compressor needed replacement. Since my warranty expired just two months ago, I was asked to pay ₺5,500 for the repair.
I originally purchased this refrigerator from MediaMarkt. I do not find it reasonable or acceptable for such a major fault to occur in such a short time. A burned-out board in a three-year-old refrigerator seems suspicious, and I believe the real issue may not have been properly diagnosed. On top of this, the service team informed me that the replacement part was not in stock, and it would take at least five more days to order and install. This means I will be left without a functioning fridge for over a week, which is unacceptable considering food spoilage and daily household needs.
To make matters worse, one of the service representatives even remarked, “If you had a second refrigerator, you wouldn’t be facing this problem,” which I find dismissive and unhelpful. Customers should not be expected to keep backup appliances just to compensate for Samsung’s service and reliability issues.
I am requesting that Samsung repair my refrigerator immediately and fairly, without further delays, and provide a lasting solution rather than leaving me with additional costs and spoiled food.
