Salomon Shoes Developed Multiple Quality Issues After Light Use

I have been involved in outdoor sports for many years, and I have recommended Salomon to countless friends and fellow outdoor enthusiasts because of the brand's reputation for quality. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with Salomon have been extremely disappointing. I have encountered serious quality issues with both the X Ultra 360 that I purchased from Boyner and the X Reveal 2 that I purchased from K2 Outdoor, even though both pairs were used only occasionally.

I purchased the Salomon X Ultra 360 from Boyner about 15 months ago. However, I used it only as a backup pair and wore it for a total of no more than three months, exclusively for everyday city use. Despite this very limited use, one shoe developed a tear while the other remained in perfect condition. I find it unacceptable for an outdoor shoe to tear under such light and normal conditions. I submitted the shoes through Boyner for a warranty inspection, but my claim was denied almost immediately with the explanation that the damage was caused by user error. Because the decision was made so quickly, I genuinely do not believe the product received a thorough or objective inspection.

About two years ago, I also purchased the Salomon X Reveal 2 from K2 Outdoor. Like the other pair, I used these shoes only occasionally as a backup pair during casual walks. Even though they feature GORE-TEX waterproof protection, they began leaking water through the glued area where the sole is attached. I own several other GORE-TEX shoes from different brands and have never experienced this type of failure. My usage was completely normal, with no unusual conditions that would explain such a significant loss of waterproof performance. This issue has seriously damaged my confidence in Salomon's product quality.

As someone who has trusted Salomon for years and has recommended the brand to many others, I am deeply disappointed not only by these product defects but also by what felt like a rushed and superficial warranty review process. I respectfully request that both products be re-examined through a detailed, fair, and objective inspection. If the defects are determined to be manufacturing or material-related, I ask that Salomon provide an appropriate remedy, including a replacement or a full refund.
