I purchased a pair of Salomon X Adventure shoes approximately one and a half years ago. From the very beginning, I used them with extreme care—regularly cleaning, airing, and maintaining them properly. After nearly every use, I aired them out, and after a few uses, I cleaned them to extend their lifespan. Despite my careful usage, the shoes started to wear down from the inner lining due to friction, and eventually, the wear became visible from the outside.
Before the damage worsened, I sent the shoes for warranty service since they were still within the 2-year warranty period clearly stated at the time of purchase. However, the warranty service denied my claim, claiming the damage was not covered under warranty and simply returned the shoes to me without any repair.
Not long after, the shoes developed a tear at the flexing point of the sole, further proving that this was a structural problem and not due to misuse. How can inner wear and sole tears be considered user errors? The product has clearly worn out prematurely despite proper care.
I am extremely disappointed that Salomon refuses to stand behind their warranty and product quality promises. I demand a full replacement of my defective shoes or an appropriate repair under warranty. I expect this to be resolved promptly and fairly without further delay.
