Pull & Bear Rejects My Return Over a Closet Fabric Softener Smell
When I went to return an upper-body clothing item today to the same Pull & Bear store at İzmir İstinyePark, where I had bought it on June 3rd, my return was rejected — despite all the tags still being on the item, having the receipt with me, and the product never having been used. I hadn't washed or worn the item at all; I mentioned that it may have simply picked up the scent of fabric softener from sitting in my closet.
The staff member on duty, Ms. Z*****, claimed the item had been worn and smelled of fabric softener, and said they couldn't accept the return. However, I specifically explained that the product had absolutely not been washed, that I had been abroad for three weeks, that I hadn't had any opportunity to use the item during that time, and that it had simply been sitting in my closet. Despite this, what I said wasn't taken into consideration.
When I explained that the fabric softener smell came from the closet, I was told they could accept the return if I aired the item out and brought it back later — but since I never used the product at all and don't believe the issue originated from me, I didn't accept this suggestion. Even with the receipt and all the product's tags in hand, my return request was rejected.
I never wore or washed the item in any way; I only tried it on, and it has been sitting in my closet since. I am requesting that the return be accepted and that the payment be refunded to the card I used.
