I use a Poco X5, and I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with the screen lock delay system. Previously, if I entered the screen lock password incorrectly three times, the phone would ask me to wait 30 seconds before trying again. Now, that delay kicks in after just one wrong attempt—and it keeps increasing.
At first, it was 30 seconds after a single mistake. Then it became 60 seconds, and now it forces me to wait 2 full minutes even after one incorrect entry. I’ve searched through the settings extensively, but there is no option to disable or adjust this behavior.
This delay makes unlocking the phone unnecessarily frustrating, especially when a single typo forces you to wait for minutes. I expect a consistent and user-controlled security experience, not one that punishes minor input errors.
I’m asking Poco/Mi support to address this issue, provide a way to reset or manage lockout timing, or issue an update that restores the original multi-attempt grace before delays begin. Users should be able to control how their device handles security timeouts.
