I had a bad experience with the Philips and I want to share it so others don't go through the same thing. I bought a Philips vacuum cleaner from the Carrefour SA Media Markt branch in Nilufer, Bursa in June 2022. I did a lot of research and had high hopes for it. Yesterday, the vacuum started smelling weird and stopped working because the motor burned out. I thought about taking my vacuum cleaner to the local service center because I live in Gemlik, Bursa. But they told me that they don't sell vacuum cleaners here. I called the closest Philips service center in Yalova, and a lady said that if I drop off the product with the warranty papers and receipt at the Philips stores in Gemlik, their team will come to pick it up on Friday. They pick up trash every Friday on a regular basis. We had planned to deliver our product on Thursday, October 19, 2023, and it was supposed to be picked up on Friday, October 20, 2023 - basically within 10 days from when I reached out to them. But, before we dropped off the product in Gemlik, my mom called the service center to let them know. The lady at the service center told her that they wouldn't pick up the product from Gemlik. Instead, we had to take it to Yalova. After that, I called the service center again and talked to the same woman. She said the same thing to me again and then suddenly ended the call after repeating herself. I called the service center again, and I had to wait for a really long time before someone finally picked up. It was a guy who answered the phone. The conversation was pretty much the same as my previous calls, and he asked, "Okay, ma'am, does the product come with a warranty, and where did you buy it from?" I checked and it has a warranty. I also gave the information that it was purchased in Bursa. I couldn't believe it when this guy told me that I had to take the product to the Bursa service center myself and that they wouldn't help us. The whole situation was so confusing and funny, especially coming from a well-known brand like Philips. I was really surprised and disappointed when I realized that even though I could purchase a Philips product from any store, I couldn't get service for it wherever I wanted. It's important to prioritize post-sales support and customer satisfaction just as much as making a sale. I'm really disappointed with what Philips did.
