2016 Opel Astra Brake Repair Nightmare: Unresolved Noise and Shoddy Disk Replacement
I took my 2016 Opel Astra 1.6 CDTI to Real Otomotiv Opel authorized service in June 2023, complaining about noise from the rear brakes. They informed me that the rear discs and brake pads needed replacement. Once assured that this repair would address the noise issue, I approved the work. Upon receiving my car, there was minimal brake noise. Believing it would subside, I went on vacation, only to return to increased noise, now worse than before. I left my supposedly intact discs at the service, suspecting damage as suggested by an employee. Currently, the noise persists, and, to my dismay, they replaced my original discs with low-quality ones. I demand a thorough investigation and either a refund for my old discs or a resolution to the persistent noise issue.
The roof service was very attentive and understanding. I checked the vehicle and discussed with the workshop chief that there were no issues. They made me feel confident in them. I thank them again for their attention and understanding.
