Hello, I am the owner of an Opel Astra 2017 CDTI Sport model. On 03/19/2024, I took my car to Opel Mar service center for maintenance at 149,796 km. During the maintenance, they informed me about the need to change the timing chain set and the pump chain. I agreed to whatever was necessary, and both heavy and regular maintenance were performed. I paid a total of 46,493₺ for the services. After using the car for a while in the city, I set out with my family for a holiday visit to my hometown Sivas. While traveling on the Kırıkkale/Keskin road at night, I started hearing noises from the engine compartment of my car. I immediately pulled over and called for a tow truck. On 04/06/2024, I brought my car to Opel service center in Ankara. Due to the holiday rush, the service center couldn't attend to it, and I was contacted by Opel service after the holiday. They informed me that there were some issues with the engine (segments, pistons, etc.) and the repair cost was estimated at 240,000₺. When I mentioned that all the maintenance had been done at an authorized service center, I received a vague response that they couldn't determine the cause. However, this is an authorized Opel service center, not just any workshop in town, and I was not provided with a proper explanation. Throughout this process, I realized that dealerships tend to protect each other and approach the problem with an attitude that suggests the issue is my fault. It never occurred to me that Opel would treat me like this, but I had no other choice but to trust them. I conveyed to them that I cannot afford to pay this repair bill and that the problem is not caused by me. "My car came out of heavy maintenance at 150,715 km, and it broke down just 1000 km later, without any warning lights prior to the breakdown." I want to emphasize that this problem is definitely not caused by me. On 05/02/2024, I was contacted by Opel Turkey customer service and was informed that only a 40,000₺ discount could be provided out of the total cost of 240,000₺. I requested that Opel Mar and Opel Turkey cover the expenses since this damage is not due to user error. This is the current status of my situation. I am seriously concerned about this matter. I have been a customer of the Opel group since 2015, and receiving such a disappointing response has deeply saddened and upset me. I am counting on your support in this matter. Regards,
