Moneygram Overcharged & Shortchanged: 975€ Sent, Only 903€ Returned After 1 Day Delay

I sent 900€ via Moneygram to South Cyprus yesterday, paying a 75€ fee, making the total 975€. However, despite waiting all day, the recipient couldn't collect the money. When I inquired, they claimed they “forgot to approve” the transfer. This continued the next day, with them saying the money was “in Greece” and could be collected from there. I insisted the money was meant for South Cyprus, but they gave me several confusing excuses. After wasting so much time, we decided to cancel the transaction and requested a refund. Moneygram gave us a code and said we could collect the refund at any branch. When I went to the same location, they tried to give me the refund in Turkish Lira instead of Euros, claiming the system had set the amount in Lira. They also applied an unfair exchange rate, offering me just 903€ instead of the full 975€. This delay and loss of money is unacceptable. Moneygram needs to resolve this immediately and return the correct amount.
