Missha Glow Tone Up Sun Base Triggered Eye Irritation and Facial Allergy
On July 21, 2026, I purchased Missha Glow Tone Up Sun Base SPF 50 from the Missha Metromall Ankara store. I specifically wanted a mineral (physical) sunscreen that could also be used as a tone-up base and makeup primer. Before making the purchase, I clearly explained to the store staff that I have very sensitive eyes and that I cannot use sunscreens containing chemical UV filters because they cause severe eye irritation. I was assured that this product would not burn my eyes and that it would be suitable for my needs.
I used the product for the first time on July 22, 2026. Approximately two hours after application, and even after washing my face, I experienced intense burning and watering of my eyes that continued throughout the day. I also developed burning and itching on my face, especially around my nose, along with persistent sneezing, all of which appeared to be symptoms of an allergic reaction. The symptoms became severe enough that I had to take an antihistamine medication.
Because of both the allergic reaction I experienced and the fact that the product did not perform as represented by the store staff, I am unable to continue using it. I purchased this product based on the assurance that it would be suitable for my sensitive eyes, but my experience was the exact opposite.
I respectfully request that Missha accept the return of this product and provide a full refund. I also ask that my complaint be reviewed carefully and that appropriate attention be given to the advice provided by store staff when recommending products for customers with known sensitivities.
