My Miele Washing Machine Broke Down in 3 Years

I can't believe it! My Miele washing machine, which I bought in April 2020, stopped working on June 26, 2023. The diagnosis revealed that the main circuit board had burned out. During the inspection, the service personnel mentioned that the water I needed to drain periodically had leaked underneath the machine. I explained that this was the only way I could perform the task, and it seemed correct to me. I also pointed out to them that it's concerning for a reputed company like Miele to have such a poorly designed water drainage system with no preventive measures. However, they dismissed any connection between this issue and the malfunction. I was informed that the repair cost would be 4,500 TL if the board can be fixed, or 10,000 TL if it needs replacement. They will provide more information about the damage within three days. It's frustrating that Miele only offers a one-year part warranty. When I asked about a guarantee that the machine wouldn't break down again, the personnel simply replied, "There's no guarantee." I've been using an Arçelik washing machine for 20 years, which has never experienced any issues or required service, despite enduring two household relocations and spending the last 17 years in its current location. I intended to purchase a lifelong machine when it was time for my old one to be serviced, which led me to choose Miele after conducting thorough research. However, it appears that Miele, touted as the world's most prestigious brand, fails after just three years, leaving the user responsible for costly repairs that have no relation to user error. I believe the appliance was defective from the start, with deliberately vulnerable components designed to exploit and inconvenience the consumer. Even if it's repaired, how can I trust the machine? Will I live in constant doubt? Should I pay Miele an annual fee for the "privilege" of using their machine? None of my other electronic appliances, including Miele's competitors, have caused any damage in my home or suffered any damage themselves. Why am I paying nearly the price of a new washing machine every three years for a machine that I purchased at almost three times the cost of other brands during its time? The fact that such a prestigious brand experiences malfunctions within three years is truly alarming. I have acquaintances who use significantly cheaper washing machines purchased from supermarkets, and they have been using them for at least 15 years without needing any technical service. Considering Miele's claim of producing products that undergo rigorous testing, I demand that instead of repair, they replace the machine with a new one for this non-user error-related malfunction.
