Arnica Pro Mop Sold With Misleading Claims And Doesn’t Work On Carpets

I purchased an Arnica Pro Mop vacuum cleaner from MediaMarkt Mall of Istanbul in May, relying on the sales consultant’s guidance. During the purchase, I clearly stated that I was pregnant, that I have a cat at home, and that I especially needed strong hair collection performance on carpets. Despite this, I was directed to this model with the assurance that it was “fully suitable” for my needs. However, the reality turned out to be a complete disappointment. The vacuum turns itself off the moment it touches the carpet. I tried it on three different carpets and the result was the same each time: a vacuum cleaner that simply does not work on carpets. Thinking it might be defective, I sent the product to service, but the service returned it without any action, stating “This is normal, it does not work on carpets.” This “fact,” which was never mentioned during the sales process, suddenly became normal at the service stage, which I consider a clear case of misleading the consumer. I attached two separate video recordings showing that the product does not work on carpets as evidence. Despite such an obvious defect and a product that does not meet the promised performance, no solution has been offered, which I find completely unacceptable. The vacuum neither works on carpets nor meets expectations, and the service does not provide a solution, resulting only in a loss of money and time for me. I paid approximately ₺22,000 for this product and I am currently in the return process. I am requesting a full refund for the Arnica Pro Mop that I purchased from MediaMarkt Mall of Istanbul, as it does not work on carpets and was sold to me with misleading information about its suitability for my needs. If necessary, I am prepared to submit all my evidence and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee to pursue my rights. I would like both MediaMarkt and Arnica to urgently address this situation, accept that the product does not perform as promised in carpet use, and finalize my refund so that this grievance is resolved without further escalation.
