My MAC Cosmetics Eyeliner Malfunctioned But Store Refuses Refund

On December 31, 2023, I purchased an eyeliner from a MAC Cosmetics store that turned out to be defective. When we contacted customer service, the store gave incredibly strange responses like "It was a sale item" and "It's been a while since you bought it," despite the product having a 6M (6 month) label and this period not having expired yet. Essentially, they're saying if you buy a sale item, it might be defective, or if it is, they won't help. When we called MAC customer service, we were simply brushed off. We want you to keep this in mind when purchasing products. We'll be writing to the Consumer Arbitration Board because they're intentionally staying silent on the issue.
