MAC Locked Kiss Lipstick Broke in 15 Days

I purchased a Locked Kiss lipstick from MAC Cosmetics during the December 21st sale, expecting quality from such a well-known brand. However, within just 15 days, the lipstick completely broke from the base—I opened the cap, and it fell right out.
I have barely used it, maybe 10 times at most, so this is clearly a product defect. Yet, when I tried to contact MAC, I faced nothing but delays and vague responses:
"Our inbox is full, we didn’t receive your email."
"We acknowledge your complaint and will get back to you."
"I took note and will share it with my manager."
Despite reaching out multiple times via email, phone, and even Instagram, I have received no clear resolution. After waiting over 10 days, I was finally told things like "maybe it will be refunded," or "I think we can process a return." Is this how a reputable brand handles customer issues?
On top of that, the sale is now over, and prices have increased, so even if I wanted to repurchase, I would pay more due to MAC’s delay. I didn’t even request a refund—I just wanted a solution, but no one has followed up.
