My MAC Studio Fix shade oxidises badly after an hour — how can I stop MAC foundation changing color mid-day?

Because skin oils and some actives in makeup can cause oxidation, let your sunscreen and skincare dry for 10 to 15 minutes first, and then use an oil-controlling silicone primer to make a shield.

Blot the t-zone before and after applying makeup. Use thin layers and set them with a clear powder to keep the oil in place.

If Studio Fix Fluid still makes your eyes look darker, try a half-shade lighter or switch to Studio Fix Powder Plus, which has strong shine control, for better stability during the day.

Keep the bottle tightly closed and don't use any product that has gone bad or changed color.

MAC's Studio Fix Fluid doesn't contain oil and is made to last for a long time. To make it last even longer, use MAC's prep/refresh steps or an oil-control foundation.

To find answers quickly, test over what you normally do during the day, not on your bare skin.
