I had an important issue with Lufthansa airlines. On June 6, 2023, using my Ziraat Bank debit card, I purchased a round-trip ticket for my spouse from Ankara to Lisbon for June 12-17, paying a total of 15,410.09 TL. After making the payment at 14:28 on Tuesday, the amount was on hold until June 9, 2023, when I noticed that it had been charged as 18,356.70 TL. I have lodged official complaints with both Ziraat Bank and Lufthansa. Adding 3,000 TL to a transaction made in TL is unacceptable. Even if we consider it as a foreign currency transaction, even if I received a service worth approximately 680 Euros, with the exchange rate difference on Friday, it would be a maximum of around 17,000.00 TL, not 18,356.70 TL. This is simply outrageous. I hope no one else has to go through this ordeal.
