Battery Life Falling Short on Kobo Sage E-Reader
Dear Rakuten Kobo representative,
We purchased the Kobo Sage e-reader tablet as a gift for our child, who successfully completed their academic term. However, the battery life on the device is draining incredibly quickly. The battery depletes rapidly while reading books. When we bought the device, we were given information that it would last for weeks, if not months, without needing a recharge. However, the battery dies within a few hours. This kind of device is nothing more than a waste for us! We already have a tablet at home for reading books. We only charged the product to use it for a longer period. We bought the device from the Viaport D&R store. We visited that store to have the device repaired, and they sent it to their technical service. The technical service claimed to have tested the device and stated that there was no charging issue, leaving us disappointed once again. Not only are we unable to use the product we purchased for our child's summer reading, but we are also faced with the indifferent attitude of the technical service. We paid around 7,000 TL and received nothing but garbage in return. They claim that the battery life varies depending on software and usage! Hey, technical service personnel, are we watching videos or listening to music with this device? We're only viewing text. We even disable Wi-Fi to make the battery last longer, but it still drains! Our wish is to receive our product from Rakuten Kobo Company without any defects, whether through a battery replacement or device exchange. If we made a purchase, you should deliver us an equivalent product just as we handed over our money to you. Otherwise, this cannot be considered a satisfactory shopping experience.
